Adding more Density is NOT Smart Growth!.

900% - The Proof
This chart was provided from the City of Daytona Beach Development Services. The purpose of this document is to determine the amount of “potential” units that could be built that the city would allow under the current use of the existing Comprehensive Land Use Plan. In simple terms the number at the bottom right, 301710,  is the total number of units or “front doors” that could be built if every land owner maximized the number units that were allowed to be built under current laws. According to the US Census Bureau in the year 2000 there were 33,345 residential units existing in Daytona Beach.  There are less than 40,000 units in Daytona Beach today.  And they still want more...  Do you?
